LA Dodgers Snobs Change Their Tune
The reason for this entry is something that I happen to have read online. The article was in the LA Times newspaper and was written by TJ Simers. I urge everyone to read this article. It's not that long but it sure does paint a picture that is disturbing to baseball. If this is true, this goes against everything that baseball stands for and if you have read my previous blog entry you would know that this goes against everything that I believe in as well. Things like this are definitely what is wrong with baseball nowadays. With that being said, the article by TJ Simers was printed on April the 8th and today there was a article posted on the Dodgers website from Ben Platt of MLB.com. It appears that the Dodgers caved under the pressure that they were getting from the fans. At least they changed the snobbish policy and are now doing the right thing. I applaud all of the fans who complained to them and I give a standing ovation to Russell Wise who brought this travisty to light. You are a true fan Mr. Wise and you did the right thing. If need be, we fans need to show the owners and the players that we are the one's that keep them in business. It is our responsibility to keep them in check, otherwise baseball will continue to decline and none of us wants that. Now that the Dodgers have changed their tune, I can again respect them. Let us hope that they don't do anything else to tarnish the great history of this franchise and of baseball.
